Overview: The Vice President of Resident Engagement and Wellness is a core member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing and enhancing lifestyle, wellness, and cognitive care programs across the Maplewood Senior Living and InspÄ«r portfolio. This role is dedicated to elevating industry-leading initiatives while ensuring the seamless implementation of daily best operational practices that enhance the well-being, engagement, and overall quality of life for residents. As a key contributor to the strategic direction of resident engagement and wellness, this leader will drive the development and execution of innovative, research-backed programs that redefine personalized and compassionate care in assisted living, independent living, and cognitive wellness. By integrating the latest techniques in training, facilitation, and program delivery, the VP will ensure the highest standards of service, positioning Maplewood and InspÄ«r as leaders in the industry. This dynamic and visionary leader will be entrusted to build, implement, and oversee comprehensive training curricula and facilitate strategic partnerships that promote excellence in service and reputation-leading success across all communities. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, shaping the strategic direction of resident engagement and wellness across the organization. Oversee and enhance lifestyle, wellness, and cognitive care programs to ensure they align with cutting-edge industry best practices, resident preferences, and community-specific needs"‹. Lead company-wide initiatives to set new benchmarks for resident experience, personalized engagement, and holistic well-being. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of resident engagement and wellness programs into overall organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Oversee the daily operations of Lifestyle and Memory Care (Cognitive Care) departments across all communities, ensuring adherence to high standards of excellence"‹. Provide direct support and guidance to Lifestyle and Memory Care Directors, fostering consistency and quality in resident experiences. Implement and refine operational best practices across multiple locations, ensuring uniformity and excellence in service delivery. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to compassionate care and a wellness-focused lifestyle while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. Develop and lead a comprehensive onboarding and continuous training framework for Lifestyle and Memory Care teams, ensuring competency and excellence"‹. Establish certification programs, such as EssentiALZ and Alzheimer's Association-approved training, to uphold the highest wellness and cognitive care standards"‹. Identify developmental needs and implement targeted educational programs to enhance staff performance, engagement, and resident interaction skills. Foster a culture of excellence, education, and professional development, ensuring staff are equipped with the latest wellness and cognitive care techniques. Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships in local markets and with key industry organizations to promote Maplewood and InspÄ«r and expand offerings for residents"‹. Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff to continuously refine and enhance the resident experience. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote and showcase Maplewood and InspÄ«r's unique lifestyle and resident engagement offerings. Drive the evolution of industry-leading resident engagement and wellness initiatives, ensuring a best-in-class approach to assisted living, independent living, and cognitive support programming. Design and implement resident-centric programs aligned with Maplewood's 9-Core Elements of Wellbeing, focusing on brain health, emotional resilience, physical wellness, social connectivity, and enriched lifestyles"‹. Ensure programs are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of residents across different levels of care, from independent living to memory care. Enhance curriculum design and training methods, incorporating state-of-the-art cognitive care techniques and holistic wellness strategies. Monitor program outcomes and utilize feedback and data to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and enhanced service delivery"‹. Serve as a brand ambassador for Maplewood and InspÄ«r, positioning the organization as a pioneer in senior living engagement and wellness. Foster alignment across all communities, ensuring seamless execution of lifestyle, wellness, and cognitive care programming while maintaining regulatory compliance"‹. Cultivate and sustain partnerships with industry leaders, research institutions, and technology providers to bring cutting-edge advancements in resident care. Oversee day-to-day program execution, ensuring the highest level of resident engagement, well-being, and service quality. Develop and implement resident experience metrics to measure impact and continuously refine programs for optimal wellness. Partner with clinical and operations leadership to integrate lifestyle and wellness initiatives seamlessly into the assisted living model, enhancing aging-in-place initiatives"‹. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices"‹. Utilize resident feedback and analytics to refine and elevate the wellness and engagement experience. Develop and lead family support and education programs, fostering strong connections and transparent communication between communities and families. Encourage active family participation through engagement initiatives that reinforce trust and collaboration in care planning"‹. Serve as an advocate for resident well-being, ensuring that programs are enriching, engaging, and aligned with the needs of each community. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred. Extensive leadership and management experience in senior living, healthcare management, or a related field, with a focus on resident experience and memory care. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team across multiple locations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with staff, residents, and family members. Proven track record in developing and implementing effective programs and services in a senior living setting. Travel Requirements: Ability to travel regularly to different communities across all states served by the company to ensure consistency and quality of resident experience and memory care programs.
