About the Veterinary Technician - Ophthalmology Nurse Role: We are looking to add to our growing team and are in search of an Ophthalmology Nurse Veterinary Technician with at least three years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with ophthalmology experience. Our hospital's Ophthalmology nurses play a vital role in providing superior and compassionate medical care to patients while working collaboratively with our Ophthalmology specialists and hospital team. Schedule & Compensation Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 7am - 7pm (Part Time) Compensation: Starting at $23/hr What You'll Do Assist with ophthalmic examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to ophthalmology patients Administer and calculate medications accurately (IV, IM, SQ, PO, OU, OD) Educate pet owners on ophthalmic conditions and post-procedural care Assist with ophthalmic surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring Maintain and update patient records with accuracy Coordinate service admits/discharges and assist in patient triage Mentor and support fellow nursing team members Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and hospital staff Ensure Fear Free handling for a stress-free patient experience Requirements 3+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting (ophthalmology experience preferred) Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent Strong understanding of veterinary ophthalmic procedures and medications Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Commitment to professional development and continuing education Our Top-Tier Benefits Include Leading industry compensation Retirement plan with matching funds Pet adoption reimbursement Mentorship with a team dedicated to education and development Emotional support and well-being benefits for team members Unlimited growth potential At MVA, YOU are our priority.
