Senior DIrector of Operations (SDO) for ABM/APS Platform Role Overview: The Senior Director of Operations (SDO) for APS is a key leadership role responsible for driving continuous improvement processes, ensuring positive client and employee experiences, meeting financial goals, and supporting sales opportunities. This role involves significant collaboration with various teams and leaders within the company. Key Responsibilities: Continuous Improvement: Lead and implement strategies for vendor management, partnerships, and special projects to improve operations and profitability. Financial Management: Oversee Profit & Loss (P&L) for APS accounts, identifying and deploying cost-saving measures. Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and lead a team focused on operational excellence and subject matter expertise. Client Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for APS clients, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction. Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Operations, VP of Solutioning, VP of Sales, and other executives to achieve organizational goals. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Operational Excellence: Establish and communicate the strategic direction, policies, and standards for the division. Safety: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety standards. Travel: This role requires up to 75% travel. Relationships and Roles: Internal/External Cooperation: Collaborate with IG Leaders, APS Platform Team, Client Experience & Operations Support Team, and Clients. Key Partners: Work with IG Leaders, Senior VPs, VPs, Branch Managers, District Managers, Sales and Marketing, Strategic Account Management, Corporate Support Leaders, ABM University, Finance, Legal, HR, Talent Acquisition, and ABM Technical Solutions. Job Qualifications and Desired Attributes: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Facilities-related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 10+ years in operations, business development, and/or supporting sales/operations teams. Client Engagement: Experience with top-tier corporations or institutions. Technical Skills: Familiarity with enterprise software (, CMMS, BAS, BMS, WOM, IWMS) and emerging technologies (IoT, VR, AI, Smart Buildings). CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., , Microsoft Dynamics). Supplier Management: Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of client/market dynamics and requirements. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and support client business reviews, presentations, and retention initiatives. Professionalism: High degree of professionalism, self-motivation, and initiative. Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Energy and Adaptability: High energy level and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Market Trends: Well-informed of market trends, regulations, and best practices. Financial Acumen: Understanding of accounts receivable processes, P&L statements, and financial performance. Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, PBI, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, OneNote).
