Description Leidos has an exciting opportunity in support of NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) as a Logistics Manager that will oversee the local NASA End-user Services & Technologies (NEST) Logistics team in support of the overall NEST Enterprise Logistics management plan. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely and accurate management of IT equipment and approved enterprise initiatives that directly supports computer logistical operations within the NEST program. Examples of such equipment will include laptops, desktops, peripherals, and all other IT equipment that is orderable on the approved NASA catalog. The timeliness and accuracy referred to in this description is key, and a must, to successfully execute the requirements of this position and will be necessary for continued employment. This requisition will be used to hire a Logistics Manager at JSC, which is in Hampton, VA. This position will also require the ability to unpack, pick up, and carry packages and materials up to 40lbs. The candidate must possess a very strong work ethic, impeccable attention to detail, multitasking ability, and provide effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and adherence to standardized work processes. This is not a remote positon.Primary ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Get to Do:Lead a logistics team in successfully moving, handling, documenting, and assigning of IT assets to ensure the timely delivery of assets in accordance and within contractually mandated service level agreement time requirements.Ensure the timely and accurate transactional updates in Costpoint and controlling variances in the inventory system of record, etc.Ensures that CostPoint and ServiceNow applications are accurately updated within the prescribed timeframes of the programEnsure impeccable adherence to contract requirementsEnsure contract mandated Service Level Agreements (SLA) are metProvide oversite and overall monitoring of material distribution to ensure stock levels for center execution are maintained as well as the safe and efficient flow of devices, orders, and peripheral assetsResponsibilities will include the oversite and building, coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of the Logistics Team, but may also include performing manual tasks to ensure compliance with prescribed contract Service Level Agreements (SLA)Must ensure that timely and accurate reviews of inventory, in-bound and out-bound shipments and keeps-up with our ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained and/or reportedPrepare or delegate shipment of packages via FedEx, UPS, USPS, and any other carriers.Quality control with system documentation of packing slips, invoices, material costs and transactionsDevelop and maintain process documentation and creating efficiencies to the logistics processes as ongoing continual service improvements for the center and the agencyBasic QualificationsYou'll Bring These Qualifications:Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust clearanceRequires either a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a proven record in a Logistics Manager/Lead position leading staff and direct responsibility of logistics operations with equivalent years of service in the industry to acquire the knowledge to manage a fast-paced logistical operation with impeccable precision ServiceNow and CostPoint experience is a preferred, or equivalent Asset Management application competency at expert levelHighly demonstrated ability to prioritize work requirementsHighly demonstrated ability to work independently, delegate tasks to leads, and lead high performing teamsHighly demonstrated ability to build, maintain, encourage, and motivate a team.Attention to detail is a mustSelf-motivation is a mustLeadership or Project Management experience with direct reportsAbility to work efficiently with accuracy and meet demanding timelines is a must for successfully executing the requirements for this positionMust be able to lift and move equipment up to 40lbsThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Bachelor's degree in a Logistics or Supply Chain Operations or related fieldIndustry related experience and/or certificationSix Sigma Black or Green Belt, Lean, or ITIL certificationOriginal Posting Date:2025-02-20While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
