Implementation of corporate and local quality assurance initiatives; Supplier qualifications and audits; assuming a leadership and/or facilitation role for a variety of continuous improvement programs.How you will do itThe Quality Engineer Intern provides customer support to the North America Parts BusinessDevelops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and policies to manage an appropriate quality system and all associated programsLeads teams in quality problem resolution,Supports resolution of technical issues from customers.Coordinates product returns authorization and non-conformity report resolution processesDevelops, trains, and supports appropriate warehouse personnel in all quality related areas.Supports materials and supply chain efforts related to supplier specification development, implementation, and adherenceCollaborate with key suppliers who provide material to the North America Parts business, assuring timely resolution issues.Conducts internal and supplier quality system and process audits, including the coordination of all associated corrective actionsCoordinates database and reporting metrics for warranty, cost of quality, and supplier quality level.Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry codes and standards to support customer service efforts.Support in redesigning the Quality reporting system.Maintain the Quality Management System and Documentation.What we look forRequiredIn school pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Masters preferred.Proficiency in Database Software, Manufacturing Software,Microsoft office Suite, and AS400.HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21-24 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
