Description The Homeland and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to support Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) projects with our Air Force customer. Our team is focused on providing engineering and integration support throughout the entire kill chain to 20+ C-sUAS sites globally. The primary project focus for this role is a C-sUAS Shared Early Warning (SEW) capability in the National Capital Region (NCR).The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer will support the program remotely but must be local to the Greater Boston area to provide onsite support as needed. Limited travel to the NCR will also be required. As a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer, the ideal candidate will be capable of executing independent projects or collaborating with a variety of teams consisting of customer and Leidos personnel. The candidate will be responsible for technical and administrative tasks consisting of preparing Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, defining cybersecurity requirements, and obtaining/maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) for multiple systems. This position will report to the Project Lead and will require close coordination with program management, engineering staff, and customer stakeholders.Primary Responsibilities:Lead all cybersecurity efforts for engineering and integration projectsPerform Cyber Security accreditation IAW DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DoD Information Technology (IT), including ATO and ATCPerform the Assessment and Authorization of DoD systems, software, and networks in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), in conjunction with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) systemPerform hands-on vulnerability testing, evaluate vulnerability results, and prepare remediation and mitigation strategiesAuthor and review IS security-related documentation as needed for customer deliverablesProvide security engineering review of proposed changes or additions to the IS (including hardware, software, or connectivity), and advise the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) of the security relevanceAccurately monitor, track, and report on cybersecurity project status to internal and external stakeholdersCoordinate with Leidos PMO and customer stakeholders to prioritize cybersecurity tasksBasic Qualifications:BS degree and eight (8)+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with six (6) + years of prior relevant experienceMust be a US CitizenMust possess and maintain an active SECRET clearanceMust be familiar with eMASSOne or more DoD Manual 8570 IAT II/III certifications prior to startAble to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCapable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to occasionally work in classified environments, as well as customer locationsAbility to manage multiple assignments, handle changing priorities, and work independentlyPreferred Qualifications:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Experience preparing and briefing technical reviews to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience with system development and operations of U.S. military unmanned aircraft systems and communication protocolsExperience as an ISSO/ISSMExperience obtaining new ATO's and ATC's for complex systemsExperience supporting USAF customersOriginal Posting Date:2025-02-04While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
