KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER- PERQ MARKETINGLocation: Indianapolis, IN - Remote About the RoleA marketing technology company are seeking a Business Development-focused Account Manager to accelerate revenue growth by developing and maintaining relationships with newspaper and print media clients. In this role, you'll focus on breaking into new accounts while nurturing and expanding existing partnerships.This position is ideal for a hunter-minded sales professional who excels in long sales cycles, consultative selling, and engaging key decision-makers such as publishers, ad directors, and sales executives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and expand client relationships within the newspaper industry.Drive new business growth while managing and retaining assigned accounts.Engage and influence key decision-makers (publishers, ad directors, sales account executives).Demonstrate ROI to clients and implement strategic growth initiatives.Work collaboratively with a small, high-performing sales team (currently a team of 4).Manage a long sales cycle, ensuring consistent follow-ups and relationship-building.Required Skills & QualificationsNewspaper industry sales experience - selling a new or existing product within the industry.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or 3+ years of sales/account management experience in B2B sales.Proven ability to build strong client relationships - relationship-building is more critical than direct print/mail sales experience.Experience in consultative selling with a focus on long sales cycles.Highly detail-oriented and responsive - missing key details with clients could result in lost business.New business quota & retention responsibilities experience.Preferred ExperienceExperience selling to competitors within the newspaper industry.Familiarity with CRM tools (training available if needed).Background in demonstrating ROI and growing partnerships over time.Experience working within a small, collaborative sales team.Education- Certifications in sales, digital marketing, or account management.Equal Opportunity Employer:We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
