We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager who will join our DDI team in developing a case management system for our social services agency client. Responsibilities Working under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager. Maintaining a complete understanding of project functions and serving as the Project Manager when the Project Manager is unavailable. Client-facing and professionally representing the Project Team in discussions with the client. Maintaining a positive relationship with the client through listening, understanding, negotiating, and resolving client concerns amicably. Leading and facilitating project meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting discussions, and tracking action items. Coordinating cross-functional meetings of personnel related to the project. Supporting the Project Manager in contract administration, ensuring compliance with contracts, statements of work (SOW), and organizational standards. Supporting the Project Manager in Change Management. Organizing Change Requests and facilitating Change Management processes. Assisting in the development of project schedules in Microsoft Project. Using Microsoft Project as a tool for modeling scenarios and reporting on progress. Monitoring project progress, identifying any issues or delays, and proposing adjustments to schedules or strategies, as necessary. Acting as primary lead for project reporting and performance metrics, including earned value analysis. Participating in project performance review meetings and discussions. Operating as a key reviewer of work products assembled by the Project team. Understanding the vision and goals of the project and seeking out inconsistencies that may exist throughout the work products. Directing the efforts of Project Coordinators in conjunction with the Project Manager. Coordinating, organizing, and logging Risks, Issues, and Decisions (RAID) on the project. Working with the Project Manager to implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and prepare contingency plans for potential problems. Serving as primary lead for timekeeping and time reporting. Supporting financial management staff with needed data on headcount and estimated hours. Working as primary lead for onboarding/offboarding of Project Staff. Working with Project and Team leads to coordinate preparation for new hires. Operating as primary lead for maintenance and health of documentation repositories, such as SharePoint. Directing Project Coordinators to maintain, organize, and update repositories as needed. Qualifications Possess 2-4 years of experience working as a key contributor on major client implementations with client-facing experience. Have 2-4 years of experience using Microsoft Project to build and maintain Project Schedules. Hold Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Experience using Replicon to manage team time reporting is a plus. Experience on social services systems projects is a plus. Be a highly organized, self-starter who can work under minimal supervision. Have strong attention to detail. Demonstrate proven leadership and exceptional communication skills. Have a track record of successfully working in a remote capacity. Able to align work schedule with 9 AM - 4 PM Central Time. Can travel once per quarter. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business needs, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
