Role Summary: The LCA Field Service Technician is responsible for managing Flowserve's inventory assets and basic technical duties at our customer sites Dow and Olin in Plaquemine, LA. The LCA Field Service Technician is the liaison between our customers and local Flowserve facilities to coordinate parts, repairs, and manufacturing for Flowserve products used at the customer sites. This is a dynamic, fast-paced job requiring a responsible, engaged person with a collaborative mindset with the ability to respond quickly to requests, has ability to resolve problems, has a communication style to interact with diverse group of stakeholders, and can provide technical support as needed to support the On-site AE role. Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight and management of on-site consigned inventories at multiple customers within the same complex Facilitate the transportation of inventory to and from customer sites, including occasional pick-up and delivery by the associate Provide frontline response to Sales Engineers and Application Engineers located at our customer sites for emergency and standard procurement of material Conduct physical cycle counts at customer sites, and investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy Communicate status and issues with the operations, shipping/receiving, engineering, and customer service teams at local Flowserve facility to support customer work schedule Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on material availability to ensure system accuracy and integrity Coordinate with local Quick Response Center to make sourcing decisions daily to ensure compliance to customer delivery expectations Assist in finding alternative options to address unavailable products and services Communicate order status changes/acknowledgments for all Flowserve related orders Work with customer planning and maintenance teams to coordinate repairable items for proper disposition Provide technical support in the form of disassembling mechanical seals and completing as found condition reports prior to returning to the QRC Document and upload information and pictures surrounding findings during the disassembly of mechanical seals into our asset management program Flowstar Provide support to the On-site Application Engineer as needed to ensure customer commitments are met in a timely and professional manner, this may include field activities that require the employee to enter process units and other customer facilities Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. required 2+ years relevant experience, such as materials or inventory management in industrial setting Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Experience in positions requiring personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems, and resolve issues with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills to maintain both electronic & paper files to ensure current data is quickly accessible Flexible, able to calmly change priorities based on demands Communicates clearly for accuracy and understanding, and communicates professionally to have a positive impact on the customer and co-workers Ability to write technically to support documentation of details found while disassembling mechanical seals Ability to lift 50 pounds with the mobility to open, unpack boxes, and shelf parts Ability to meet Flowserve and customer safety, health, background and drug screen, and physical requirements to be allowed access to facilities Must have and maintain credentials to allow associates to obtain badging access to customer sites including but not limited to, drug screen and background check, Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC), driver's license, and safety training requirements Preferred Skills: Associate degree or technical certification preferred Experience with SAP Hands on experience with disassembly and/or repair of industrial products Mechanical aptitude to identify assemblies and individual components both physically and on 2-D and 3-D drawings Experience with mechanical seals or other industrial products Detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of accurately pulling data, entering data, and creating reports Flowserve offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, medical benefits on day 1, generous paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits!
