Will function as the department's designated nurse leader providing operational oversight and staff supervision. Coordinates with nursing leadership. The positionensures the achievement of optimal evidence-based patient care and department goals through efficient daily operations and compliance with established rules, regulations, and guidelines. Promotes Shared Governance structure and functions. Experience: Three years related work experience as a registered nurse required. Extensive knowledge of the unit's patient population, health care trends, community and regional resources and service availability to these populations. An ability to establish working relationships with diverse groups and individual, medical staff and other health care disciplines. Additional Job Description Education : Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited college/university; Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in lieu of BSN. Licenses/Certificates : Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required through the American Heart Association (AHA).
