Machine Shop Foreman

Our shop is in need of an experienced manager to fill our Foreman role. Our primary service offering is the repair of motors and pumps of all shapes, sizes and ages.  You'll be managing a team of Machinists and Mechanics. You need to know enough about the following to manage the crew doing these activities: Manual Engine Lathes TIG and MIG Welding (steel, stainless, titanium, aluminum, copper) Mechanicals and parts within Motors + Pumps Blower Assemblies Gear Boxes Dynamically balancing rotating equipment You'll also be managing some ancillary staff like a Delivery Driver or Janitor, for example. Our shop is located on the north side of Toledo. We have about 6 full-time team members at this shop. This is a very stable position - we have a large, established customer base, and there's no seasonality to our work. There's work to be managed all year round. This is a direct hire, full-time and long-term W2 role. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. All of the work is done in the shop - there is little to no field work expected of this role. We're looking to pay somewhere between $65-85k annual salary for this position. Most weeks are about 45 hours of work, so not a ton of overtime expected at all. Our benefits package includes: Vacation Time, 401k, Health Benefits, Paid Holidays, Sick/Personal Days, and Dental. The ideal candidate for this position has plenty of experience managing 5-10 people in a job shop type environment, where each person is working on different tasks and projects every day. This is not a production environment, but a repair project environment. Every day looks a little different.
