Location: Euclid - 22801 Employment Status: Hourly Full-Time Function: Maintenance Req ID: 25848 "‹ "‹ Job Responsibilities PURPOSE: To operate and monitor semi-automated and automated equipment for the Maintenance Fabrication and Welding department. Primarily 1st shift schedule, could include 2nd, 3rd, split shifts, weekends, holidays, 12 hour shifts. Daily work activity is directed by the Group Leader and a Welder A or B. Reports directly to the department Manager. • Performs all tasks under direct supervision. • Assumes ownership of work tasks and demonstrates initiative to get work completed. • The equipment includes but is not limited to Robots, CNC Plasma Tables and Submerged Arc Welding systems. • Repairs machinery and equipment components according to requisition documentation, layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. • Welds all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, including dissimilar metals such as copper to steel. • Operates various hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. • May set up, operate, and/or tend to robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. • Make decisions on how to make a repair when there is no set of directions. • Order and maintain project related material as required. • Assist with keeping neat and orderly records of work performed and repairs made. • Work with Engineering, Production Team Leads, Managers, Group Leaders, and fellow tradesmen to accomplish the desired result. • Adjust schedule and work hours to accomplish the desired result, must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. • Perform work assignments efficiently while being consistent with good safety practices. • Report any maintenance and/or safety issues to the supervisor. • Review, understand, and follow all Company specifications and procedures, and regulatory rules and requirements that are associated with the performance of this job. • Other duties as assigned by the department Manager. • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy. Job Requirements • High School education or equivalent. • Must have some knowledge and experience in all types of welding processes including Stick, Mig, Tig, Innershield, Sub Arc, Oxy-acetylene, hard surfacing, Plasma, and Carbon Arc Gouging (Air Arc). • Must have some knowledge and experience reading mechanical drawings. • Must have some knowledge and experience in proper welding procedures. • Ability to use various measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, levels, plumb bobs, etc.) • Excellent attendance required. • Must possess basic mechanical aptitude. • Must possess good organizational and communication skills. • Team oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision. • Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis. • May be required to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.) • Must be able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 50 feet. • Must be able to wear a respirator. • Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge. • Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job. • Assigned by Job Code Lincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
