Accountant II-III

Overview: The Finance team at SimV is looking for someone to perform accounts receivable and general ledger functions.  We're looking for a highly motivated teammate who will positively contribute to our team. Travel: a minimal amount to SimV facilities and training Requirements: 3-5 years of applicable accounting experience3-5 years of experience with multiple types of contracts (CPFF, FFP, T&M) and accounting of eachAttention to detailExperience in processing accounting transactionsExperience in an office or business environmentExperience in Microsoft office products, especially Excel Responsibilities: Review Project setup to confirm accounting system will process revenue and billings correctlyGenerate contract invoices for bi-weekly and monthly periods and submit to customersReconcile billing, revenue, and unbilled amounts at multiple levelsProcess contract closeout transactions to include evaluation of contract funding for deobligationsCommunicate with customer to follow up on invoice payments when requiredPerform monthly closeout reconciliations for prepaid expenses, reconciling credit cards, asset management, depreciation/amortization, and other GL-related functionsAssist with audit preparation and coordinationCross-train within team for more dynamic company support (may include accounts payable, payroll, or any other tasks among the team)Special projects as assigned Preferred Skills and Experience: Unanet GovCon software experienceKnowledge of the JTR, FAR, GAAP, DCAA billing requirements, government contracting Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business and 3-5 years of accounting experience (applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree) Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $$ - $$ (USD).
