REMOTE Principal GaN Design Engineer

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal GaN Design Engineer to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of Gallium Nitride (GaN) devices, focusing on optimizing performance, reliability, and packaging. This role requires a deep understanding of GaN technology and device design principles to drive product advancements in high-power applications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of GaN devices and discrete power components.Optimize device performance and reliability through innovative design methodologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product integration and launch.Conduct TCAD simulations to predict device behavior and performance.Perform characterization and testing of GaN devices to validate design specifications.Oversee the device layout and ensure compliance with industry standards.Develop and implement packaging solutions to enhance device performance.Mentor and guide junior engineers in GaN technology and best practices.QualificationsMaster's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in GaN device design and development.Strong knowledge of GaN technology and its applications in power electronics.Proficiency in TCAD tools and device characterization techniques.Experience with discrete power devices and reliability testing.Familiarity with device layout processes and packaging solutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedical/Dental/Vision401kBonusRelocationTelecommuteEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
