In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our recycling facility. The General Laborer will be responsible for removing nonferrous and non-metallic materials from conveyor belts, cleaning the recycling yard, and ensuring that the facility remains safe and operational.     If you are able to work independently, have a strong work ethic, and are physically capable of handling various tasks, we invite you to apply for this position! Key Responsibilities: Remove materials such as trash, wood, paper, or plastics from conveyor belts and place them into the appropriate chute or bin. Clean the recycling yard by sweeping, raking, and picking up debris, or moving barrels and bins. Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place them on conveyor belts for further processing. Perform general cleaning and sweeping operations to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Carry out other assigned tasks as needed. Required Skills & Abilities: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic math skills to handle material counts and manage tasks efficiently. Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong physical and mental capability to perform all job functions in various environmental conditions. Work Environment: This position involves both indoor and outdoor tasks. You will work primarily in a recycling yard environment, where you will be required to clean and remove materials both inside the facility and outdoors. Exposure to varying weather conditions may occur while cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas. Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED-equivalent required. No prior experience required; however, any experience in a labor-intensive environment is a plus.
