This key position is focused on the entity's fiscal responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on revenue growth and bottom-line performance from the hospital's perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulously reviewing monthly cost center performance, providing data-driven explanations for variances, and proactively analyzing operational performance to identify and address underlying issues. Collaboration with on-site managers, directors, and hospital administration is essential to ensure that financial strategies align with the overall goals of the health system and to maintain financial stability and accountability. The ideal candidate for this role at the company is a financially strong executive with extensive experience in complex matrix environments, particularly in Critical Access Hospitals or rural health systems. They should be adept at working outside the office, engaging with staff, and managing revenue cycle operations and supply chain communications. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 10 years of direct finance experience, including 7 years in progressive finance or accounting leadership, is also a key requirement. The role demands a leader who can navigate rural healthcare settings within a corporate and clinical service line model, and who is committed to the values of the health system, including a focus on world-class healthcare and excellent patient service.
