Compounding Pharmacy Technician Salary: $25-$30/hour and negotiable based on experience + benefitsLocation: Onsite in BoisePosition OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. This role involves preparing and compounding customized medications in compliance with strict quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and physician prescriptions. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, highly organized, and skilled in sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures.Key Responsibilities: Compounding: Accurately compound medications in sterile (IV, TPNs, etc.) and/or non-sterile environments (creams, ointments, capsules, etc.), following USP , , and guidelines. Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare raw ingredients to create customized medications tailored to individual patient needs. Quality Assurance: Conduct checks to ensure compounded medications meet quality and safety standards; perform appropriate documentation for all compounding activities. Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory of compounding supplies, ingredients, and equipment, ensuring proper storage and labeling. Compliance: Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, including FDA, DEA, and state board requirements, maintaining accurate records of compounded medications. Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and maintain compounding equipment and workspaces according to established protocols. Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are accurately compounded and dispensed. Safety Standards: Handle hazardous and non-hazardous substances with appropriate safety measures, utilizing proper PPE and techniques. Customer Support: Assist with patient inquiries related to compounded medications under pharmacist supervision.Qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or state license preferred. Previous experience in compounding pharmacy (sterile and/or non-sterile) is highly desirable.
