This position is responsible for leading the Supply Chain Finance activities at our Ontario bakery. A close working relationship with the bakery management team must be maintained in order to provide financial analysis and business insight on a daily basis. Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight/control of costs within the bakery. Provide commentary for cost variances from expectations and relevant action items as necessary. Maintain ownership of the relevant financial statement assertions over the local balance sheet, including completeness of accruals, the existence of assets, and valuation of inventory. Maintain and promote a strong internal control environment within the bakery. Identify possible weaknesses and develop systems/processes to close any gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company and GAAP. Coordinate the preparation of the annual bakery budget. Ownership of accurate standard costs for all foods produced within the bakery. Provide cost estimates for new food development which includes possible time/motion studies and eventual setup in SAP. Focus on profit improvement, cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement Assist with internal and external audits, answering queries and providing required supporting documents. Participate in the Capital Expense Requests process as required. Monitor and report project progress and ensure that closing notices are processed in a timely manner. Oversee bakery asset disposals and transfers. Perform fixed asset inventories as required. Complete special projects or ad hoc requests as assigned. Establish and maintain effective working relationships and two-way communication with peers and other personnel throughout the company. This position will oversee the Ontario, CA bakery. Minimal annual travel is required to visit off-site bakeries. Qualifications: 5-7 years of related finance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA and/or CMA and/or MBA preferred. Strong knowledge of ERP manufacturing systems, preferably SAP. Strong understanding of Cost Accounting including standard costing models and concepts. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Outlook email software Ability to communicate complex information in a relatable manner, matching the message to the audience. Ability to analyze performance trends across multiple periods of time, including price-volume-mix analyses. Strong communication, management skills and team orientation with ability to work across all levels and functions of the organization.
