The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic oversight and management of this critical training initiative, ensuring the successful training, support, and placement of students with companies involved in the research, design, production, delivery, and maintenance of military weapons systems, subsystems, and components. Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, developing and implementing growth strategies, and creating a sustainable and continuously improving program. The role also involves leading and mentoring the department's leadership team, engaging with industry and community partners, and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Applicants for the Vice President position must have a Master's degree in business administration, education, workforce development, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in workforce development or education management, and at least 5 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading large-scale training or workforce development programs, experience in the defense sector, and technical experience in manufacturing. Significant leadership experience, budget management, and a mix of entrepreneurial experience are essential. The role requires a high level of presentation experience at senior-level audiences, and the candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident due to government contract requirements.
