The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and nurturing a high-performing team, ensuring the quality of all CRSs' deliverables, and supporting the team's technical and professional skill development. This role requires a leader with a strong background in clinical trial methodology, regulatory and compliance requirements, and experience in the design of study protocols. The VP will also be involved in cross-functional projects, act as a subject matter expert for the CRS role, and partner with various leaders in the R&D organization to improve the team's deliverables. Applicants for the VP, Head of Clinical Science position at the company should have an advanced degree in sciences, with a PhD, MD, or PharmD strongly preferred, and at least 15 years of clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in building and managing high-performing clinical development teams, as well as experience in process improvement within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of health authority requirements, be able to participate in health authority inspections, and have a strong background in mentoring, training, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.
