The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership, with a direct reporting line to the President and CEO. This role is pivotal in overseeing all legal matters within the organization. The General Counsel will be responsible for a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to, labor and employment, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, intellectual property, product liability, and compliance. The General Counsel will also be involved in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures to ensure the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is expected to be a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 10 years' of experience in these areas, and must be prepared to take on the challenges of a dynamic and innovative company. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar in at least one jurisdiction. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to provide sound legal advice and support to the executive team. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a team of legal professionals.
