The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in operational excellence, compliance, and people management. This role is pivotal in driving the organization's mission to prepare scholars for success in college, career, and life, particularly in the context of dismantling systemic racism and integrating antiracism, academics, and agency into the educational system. The VP will work closely with the Executive Director, leading strategic planning, and ensuring operational support aligns with the company's expectations. Key responsibilities include overseeing compliance with state and federal requirements, managing operational and HR functions, and acting as a liaison between the home office and regional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 years' operational leadership experience, ideally in education or non-profit. The role requires a deep understanding of California state education laws and CDE compliance requirements. The VP will be responsible for setting the vision and leading the Ops Team, monitoring staffing needs, and providing insights for workforce planning. They will also be involved in the charter renewal process, supporting strategic priorities such as school site safety and facilities management, and managing operational expenditures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the company's mission and values, including antiracism, and will be adept at managing change and leading teams through transformation.
