The successful candidate will be a key strategist and business partner, responsible for setting the tone of governmental and community strategy to support the division's financial performance. This role involves establishing issue advocacy and positioning strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and leading the company's political action and engagement efforts. The SVP will also oversee government affairs for regulatory, state, and local policy, and political engagement, ensuring a cohesive and compliant approach. A strong background in local and state political environments, community advocacy, and a proven track record in public policy and alliance advocacy is essential. Key qualifications for the role include a deep understanding of the evolving technology landscape, the ability to build and lead a high-performing team, and a history of success in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to represent the company with public policy stakeholders at all levels, and experience in grassroots campaigns to support business objectives. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with over 15 years of relevant work experience. The role requires a professional who can ensure that all activities are fully compliant with legal standards and internal ethics requirements, and who is prepared to certify compliance on a regular basis.
