This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that the privacy program aligns with corporate objectives, the enterprise risk management framework, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of privacy policies and procedures, as well as for the collaboration with internal departments to embed privacy in business processes. Additionally, the Chief Privacy Officer will be tasked with identifying and mitigating privacy risks, leading the response to privacy incidents, and preparing senior leadership and board reports on the status of the privacy program. Applicants for the Chief Privacy Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or a HS diploma with 10 years of experience in privacy or data protection program management within the financial services industry. A minimum of 10 years of experience in banking privacy, regulatory compliance, risk management, or related legal experience is required, along with a strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in managing privacy initiatives on an enterprise-wide scale, and a preference for those with a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification.
