The successful candidate will be a relationship-driven, strategic leader with a proven track record in political advocacy, building staff capacity, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. This role is pivotal in setting the strategy for advocacy initiatives, aligning communications to garner political support, and overseeing teams in local advocacy, communications, and membership. The Chief Member Advocacy and Engagement Officer will also be responsible for community activation, leading regionalized collective action strategies, and ensuring that the organization's efforts are responsive to the needs and feedback of its members. Applicants for the Chief Member Advocacy and Engagement Officer position at the company should have at least 12 years of experience in policy, advocacy, community building, or systems leadership, with a strong belief in the ability of public charter schools to prepare all students for success. The role requires a deep understanding of the intersections of policy, race, gender, religion, and social justice issues, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
