About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director of the Athletic Association to lead and enhance the institution's fundraising and donor cultivation efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all fundraising initiatives for the athletics program, including the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of major gift prospects. This role requires a focus on increasing resources and visibility for the university and its athletic programs. The Executive Director will also be involved in planning and supervising events, coordinating with university personnel to provide academic support services, and ensuring compliance with NCAA Division II rules and regulations, particularly in the areas of fundraising and gender equity. Applicants must have a Master's degree, a minimum of five years of experience in intercollegiate athletics fundraising, and a strong understanding of NCAA Division II compliance rules and Title IX as it relates to gender equity. The role demands excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse communities both on and off campus. The Executive Director will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive giving strategy, evaluate staff for targeted donation asks, and work closely with the Director of Athletics and the FVSAA. The position is pivotal in the mission to increase alumni giving and to identify potential donors beyond the existing network, including the pursuit of funding through grants and foundations.
