The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all non-research-related aspects of the institute, including recruiting and managing member companies, organizing special events, and overseeing development and communication plans. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least six years of experience in program management, and a strong background in leading large center awards, financial management, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The Managing Director will also serve as a project manager for funded projects, develop and maintain the institute's website, and ensure the timely delivery of publications and reports. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the Young Institute should have a proven track record in program management, with a preference for those with experience in a university setting and a background in the pharmaceutical industry. The role demands strong communication, organization, and project management skills, as well as an understanding of budgeting and fiscal policy in an academic environment.
