The successful candidate will be a key leader in the Strategic Initiatives Unit, which is dedicated to overseeing and managing critical programs and initiatives that drive institutional reform and improve operational systems. This role is pivotal in the Department's mission to provide a safe and secure environment for all, including the people in its custody. The Executive Director will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including policy management, development, and implementation, as well as leading a team of professionals in this area. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure that policies align with regulatory standards and support the Department's goals. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for advanced degrees in public administration, public policy, criminal justice, psychology, law, or related areas. The role requires a minimum of 2 years' of experience in policy management, project planning, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multiple high-priority projects, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Experience in criminal justice reform initiatives and the ability to cultivate partnerships with diverse stakeholders are also highly valued.
