The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the check-off program, overseeing research programs, and maintaining financial accountability. This role involves working closely with the Board of Directors to implement directives, coordinate public relations, and ensure the smooth operation of the business office. The Executive Director will also be the face of the organization, engaging with members, government agencies, and other stakeholders to advocate for the best interests of the corn growers. Key responsibilities include market development, product promotion, and research to enhance the economic position of the corn industry in Michigan. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, with a preference for a background in a commodity or agricultural-related industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years' experience in a similar role, strong communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of strategic thinking and management. The role requires a passionate and committed individual who can effectively represent the organization, build a strong culture, and lead change management.
