The successful candidate will serve as the Compliance Officer, monitoring case law, regulatory matters, and proposed legislation that may impact the business. They will be responsible for providing legal counsel to corporate management, participating in the development of corporate policies, and initiating or defending legal actions as necessary. The role also involves serving as the Corporate Secretary, managing corporate governance, and providing senior management with strategic legal advice. Applicants must have a Law Degree and be licensed and in good standing with a State bar, with a preference for those licensed in New Jersey or able to obtain Limited In-House licensing in the state. A minimum of 10 years of legal experience in areas such as dietary supplements, real estate, intellectual property, corporate, and litigation management is required. Direct experience in State and Federal employment labor, particularly in the State of California, is also a key qualification. The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, outstanding communication skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The General Counsel will be responsible for managing the legal function, including the supervision of internal and external legal resources, and must be adept at anticipating and managing legal risks to protect the company's interests.
