The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams involved in the day-to-day accounting, administration, and reporting of the BDCs. This includes overseeing the internal accounting team, working with the third-party administrator to determine the fund's monthly NAV, and preparing fund return analyses. The role also involves ensuring compliance with SEC and IRS regulatory tests, preparing 10-K/10-Q and other SEC filings, and maintaining strong internal financial controls. The BDC Controller will work closely with the BDC's chief accounting officer, chief financial officer, and various teams to support fund analytics, and will be expected to present to the BDC Board of Directors. Applicants for the BDC Controller position at the company should have an undergraduate degree, a CPA license, and at least 8 years of work experience, with a mix of public and private accounting preferred. BDC product experience is required, with a focus on non-traded BDCs, and a strong background in SEC reporting. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence, a desire to learn and grow professionally, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
