The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations and administrative functions of the program area, which is dedicated to increasing rates of permanency and reducing lengths of stay for children in foster care. This includes overseeing the Adoption Subsidy Unit, Kinship Guardianship Assistance Program, and Post-Permanency Services. The Executive Director will work in collaboration with various stakeholders, including provider agency staff, youth, adoptive parents, kin guardians, adoption attorneys, Family Court, and the Office of Children and Family Services, to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that promote the safety, well-being, and permanency of children in foster care. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a baccalaureate degree and at least 4 years of experience in social services, with a minimum of 1 year at the administrative or managerial level. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in child welfare, preferably with at least 5 years of experience, and a proven track record of effective leadership and management. The Executive Director will be involved in processing various applications, providing training and technical assistance, and implementing processes to support the goals of the program. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to improve service delivery and achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
