The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader, responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies that align with the organization's values and mission. This role requires a deep understanding of the complex challenges of violence and conflict in the U.S., as well as the ability to engage with diverse communities, partners, and donors. The Head of USA will be a strong ambassador and fundraiser, with a proven track record in program development, financial management, and staff leadership. They must be passionate about the values of the organization, including nonviolence, nonpartisanship, and the primacy of local actors, and be committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key responsibilities for the Head of USA include strategic development, program implementation, financial and operational management, personnel management, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' leadership experience, a relevant university degree, and a background in security management. They should be adept at building and maintaining relationships, both within the organization and with external stakeholders, and be able to inspire and lead a diverse team. The role demands a high level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner.
