The successful candidate will be responsible for seeking funds for current programs, capital improvements, and increasing the endowment. This role involves actively engaging and cultivating relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees, potential and existing donors, government officials, alumni, and other key partners. The Vice President will also provide staff support for the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees, foster Trustee engagement, and coordinate Trustee cultivation in partnership with the President. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly within a higher education context. The role requires extensive travel and a robust understanding of key issues in higher education, with a focus on HBCUs. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing professional teams, developing assessment strategies, and performance indicators for major programmatic areas.
