The successful candidate will be a critical leader in overseeing and enhancing the organization's control environment, with a focus on technology-related risk management and control practices. This role involves strategic and day-to-day oversight, leading a team that works closely with IT, operations, and front-line units to ensure robust control frameworks that meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in technology risk, enterprise risk, operational risk, cybersecurity, or internal audit within the banking or financial services industry, and will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, control framework development, risk identification, and management, policy and regulatory compliance, and team leadership. Applicants for this role at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with advanced degrees and industry-recognized certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or CGEIT being highly desirable. The role requires a deep understanding of banking regulations, risk management frameworks, and IT governance frameworks. The candidate must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and influencing skills, and be adept at building partnerships across cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement are essential.
