The successful candidate will be a US-qualified lawyer with a strong commercial background in payments, remittances, or related financial services. This role is pivotal in providing end-to-end legal support for the development of new products and capabilities, including the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of contracts. The Senior Counsel will also be responsible for advising the product and sales teams, collaborating with in-house and external specialists on legal issues, and training clients on legal processes and risks. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position should have extensive experience, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house work, and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in the payments and remittances sectors. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on problem-solving, communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
