The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in education, with a minimum of 3-5 years' teaching experience at the elementary or secondary school level. Experience with accreditation, certification, and federal reporting requirements is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the department's various certification programs, including PK-4, PK-12, and secondary certifications in a range of subject areas. The role also involves teaching literacy courses, supervising faculty and staff, managing departmental evaluations, advising students, and providing visionary leadership.
