The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in the P&C insurance industry, particularly in claims management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and customer-focused processing of claims across the organization's Canadian and US operations. The SVP, Claims will be responsible for delivering the overall claims vision, developing and implementing strategic plans, and establishing key performance indicators to track team performance. Team leadership, fostering a collaborative work culture, and ensuring the continuous development of claims professionals are also key accountabilities. Applicants must have a comprehensive knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, with at least 15 years' experience in insurance claims management, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. The role requires a self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial outlook, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The SVP, Claims will also be responsible for TPA oversight, compliance and risk management, and data analysis for process improvement. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and advanced degrees or industry designations are a plus.
