The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering an HR culture that is responsive, supportive, and in line with the company's values of respect, trust, inclusion, discovery, and excellence. This role involves close engagement with HR staff across the organization to ensure the development and implementation of HR processes and policies that balance the needs of the employees with business practices and regulatory requirements. The AVP will also be a confidential expert advisor on a range of HR matters, represent the company in the development of HR processes, and oversee professional development programs that support the career goals of the staff. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related discipline, with a master's or graduate degree highly preferred. A minimum of ten years of related experience in HR management, including experience in a large, complex, matrixed organization, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic planning, a demonstrated commitment to customer service, and a proven track record as a collaborator and change agent. Experience in an academic setting and HR certification is also desirable. The role demands strong leadership, administrative, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and build high-performing, collaborative teams.
