The CFO will be responsible for directing the financial affairs of the organization, including the preparation of financial analyses, interim and final financial statements, and supporting schedules. This role involves providing senior-level leadership in finance, financial systems, policies, budget, purchasing, contracting, compliance, audit, and internal controls. The successful candidate will oversee the Finance Office, provide direction and support to other departments in budget administration, and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or be a Certified Public Accountant. A minimum of 5 years' experience in budget development, finance, or a related field is required, along with a proven track record of leadership in finance, budget development, procurement, and financial risk management. The role demands proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles, fund accounting, and budget-related software platforms. The CFO will also be expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work beyond the normal workday, and a strong understanding of the legal and fiscal requirements of public education.
