The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, creating and managing personal relationships with donors, and playing a key role in closing major gifts. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, capable of pairing best practices with creative solutions, and will be deeply committed to the mission of the organization, which is dedicated to providing hope and healing for those affected by addiction. The role involves overseeing a team of development directors, so experience in team management and a strong understanding of fundraising best practices are essential. While not mandatory, experience in healthcare fundraising and knowledge of substance use disorder is preferred. This leadership position requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in frontline fundraising, with at least 5 years' in a management role, and a proven track record of securing significant gifts. The Executive Director will also be involved in establishing the overall strategic direction of the development department and will work closely with the Chief Development Officer, executive leadership, board members, and volunteers to support the organization's fundraising activities. Applicants for the Executive Director, Development role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, solid communication skills, and superior relationship-building abilities.
