The CAO will be responsible for the strategic development, operations, and continuous performance improvement of the clinical, academic, and research departments. This includes overseeing operations at affiliated hospitals, harmonizing procedures and protocols, and serving as the administrative leader for the School of Medicine departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery. The role involves strategic planning, financial management, budget development, grants management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The CAO will also be involved in space allocation, HR, and recruitment for the department's institutes, and will work to optimize organizational capacity and financial performance while providing high-quality care. Candidates for the CAO position should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as an administrator in an academic medical or surgical department is required, with a focus on neurosciences being preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning, growth strategies, and network and business development within healthcare. Exceptional leadership, mediation, and multitasking skills are essential, as is a strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare. The CAO must be a proven relationship builder, an outstanding communicator, and a collaborator with the leadership presence to command respect and influence.
