The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and driving the strategy to connect data from genome-scale -omics platforms with real-world population and patient-derived genetics. This role is pivotal in identifying and validating target selection, disease and patient linkages, and driving precision medicine through the development of translational biomarkers. The VP will also be at the forefront of integrating patient genetic and biomarker data from clinical trials to support the reverse translation of clinical insights into discovery programs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and leading a high-performing group of computational biologists and data scientists is essential. Applicants for the VP, Translational Data Science/Computational Biology position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in computational biology, with a focus on ML techniques in drug discovery and development. A proven track record in functional and statistical genetics, particularly in the areas of target identification, mechanistic fine-mapping, and biomarker development for precision medicine, is required. The role demands experience in industrializing the process of turning genetic insights into actionable strategies for patient stratification and clinical trial design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading and mentoring teams, as well as a deep understanding of regulatory considerations in the development of precision medicine solutions.
