Key responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, implementing underwriting strategies that align with performance goals, and assessing market risk to ensure underwriting decisions are consistent with credit guidelines. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and 10-15 years' of experience in auto loan underwriting management. The role requires a leader with proven management experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency in data analysis and underwriting software tools. The Vice President & Director of Credit will also be expected to maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations, collaborate with sales and risk teams, and utilize data analytics to make informed, data-driven decisions. Professional certifications such as AFIP are a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at building and maintaining relationships, setting clear performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
