The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative and people-focused leader, responsible for the global network of cell therapy analytical development. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and implementing end-to-end practices for leading cell therapy drug product and viral vector analytical development. The Executive Director will be accountable for the holistic analytical development strategy, integrating with the global quality network strategy, and will lead all analytical development activities across various cell therapy approaches. Key responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams, developing cost-effective assays, and leading the implementation of analytical strategies aligned with quality, operations, and commercial considerations. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with a minimum of 15 years' experience, and a proven track record of leading teams across multiple geographic locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and establishing analytical strategies for early, late, and commercial-stage cell therapy and viral vector processes and assays. Experience in T-cell biology, product attribute sciences, and a broad range of analytical techniques is essential. The role requires the ability to work across all cell therapy approaches and experience in partnering with CMC teams for product licensure. The Executive Director will also be responsible for building high-performing teams, driving enterprise collaboration, and contributing to regulatory CMC submissions.
