The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality improvement activities, with a focus on clinical excellence, infection prevention, and patient safety. This role involves collaboration with local hospital leaders and academic departments to ensure the integration of quality management, regulatory compliance, and risk management efforts. The Vice President will also lead the quality and patient safety staff, manage quality data strategy, and oversee the quality education programs for staff and clinicians. Applicants must have a medical degree (MD or DO) or a Master's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in healthcare quality and/or a related role. A Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and/or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt designation is preferred. The role requires specific experience in the design and implementation of quality, performance improvement, and patient safety efforts within a complex health system, as well as at least 5 years' leadership experience in a similar setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fostering a culture of safety, leading patient safety event reporting systems, and supporting a Just Culture environment. The position demands a leader who can anticipate and respond to national trends in performance improvement and is dedicated to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
