The successful candidate will be part of a unique team that is dedicated to the First Line of Defense Surveillance function, with a focus on deterring, detecting, and preventing conduct risk breaches. Responsibilities include identifying and sourcing data from trading systems and data warehouses for surveillance models, developing business intelligence tools, and working on AI approaches to trade and e-communications surveillance. The role also involves managing a small team, contributing to the design and refinement of monitoring procedures, and ensuring alignment with the global strategy. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in market, product, and business experience, with a preference for those with exposure to trading desks, electronic trading, or IT support of GM trading activities. Candidates for this role at the company should possess excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing conduct risks. Technical skills required include knowledge of internal databases, trading infrastructure, and proficiency in coding languages such as SQL and Python. The role demands advanced organizational skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including IT, senior management, and market abuse IT. A background in capital markets, risk management, or compliance is beneficial.
