This pivotal role is focused on the development and implementation of US-specific medical affairs strategies, particularly in the areas of uveal melanoma and cutaneous melanoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading medical affairs activities, including oversight of US field medical teams, congress planning, and HCP engagement. Collaboration with global and European medical affairs teams is essential to ensure alignment with the global strategy. The Executive Director will also be involved in fostering relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and professional societies, and will play a key role in the training and development of the US medical science liaison team. Candidates for this role must have an advanced degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctorate in medicine, PhD, or PharmD. A minimum of 5-7 years' medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in oncology, rare disease, or immunology, is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business acumen, experience in cross-functional collaboration, and a proven track record in influencing and building relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the US healthcare landscape, including FDA regulations, and experience in the successful management of medical affairs activities.
