The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the federal government market sector, staying abreast of industry trends, and developing strategic business plans. This role requires a licensed architect with a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years' experience in business development within the AEC industry, particularly in the federal sector. The Director will work closely with the Federal Capture Manager, technical teams, and the marketing team to ensure the success of the market sector, including leading proposal strategy development and engaging in the full proposal process. Applicants for the Director of Architecture position at the company should have a proven track record in business development, sales, and building strong client relationships, with a focus on delivering complex federal projects. Experience with federal clients such as DoD, USACE, and NAVFAC is essential. The role demands excellent interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills, as well as a strong client service orientation and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, highly organized, and proficient in the MS Office Suite. Responsibilities also include leading internal proposal debriefs, conducting quality control reviews, and aligning business development activities with quarterly metrics.
