The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including but not limited to, supplier contracts, disputes, and compliance issues. This role demands a seasoned attorney with a strong background in drafting and negotiating complex procurement contracts, particularly in the context of a multi-national, technology, and information analytics environment. The Senior Counsel will work closely with global procurement teams, human resources, government affairs, and other corporate function teams, and must be adept at counseling on legal risks and issues in a timely and effective manner. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should have an excellent academic record and a law degree from a respected institution. A proven track record in procurement and technology law, with a preference for experience in a corporate law department or multi-national corporations, is essential. The role requires a candidate with IAPP certification, if recommended, and a deep understanding of data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, contract drafting, and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a large and varied caseload. Interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a talent for conflict management and influence are also key attributes.
